The Government of India has successfully released the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on 2nd August 2025 from Varanasi, providing crucial financial support to millions of farmers across the nation.
What is the PM-KISAN Scheme?
Launched in December 2018, PM-KISAN is a central sector scheme that provides income support of ₹6,000 per year to all landholding farmer families. This amount is distributed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months, directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
How to Check Your PM-KISAN 20th Installment Status:
If you are a registered beneficiary, follow these simple steps to check the status of your payment:
- Visit the official PM-KISAN portal: https://pmkisan.gov.in/
- On the homepage, navigate to the ‘Farmer’s Corner’ section.
- Click on the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option.
- Enter your Aadhaar Number, Account Number, or Mobile Number as required.
- Click on ‘Get Data’ to view your status, including details of all past and current installments.
Eligibility and Registration:
To be eligible, farmers must own cultivable land. Certain categories are excluded, such as institutional landholders, former and present constitutional post holders, and retired pensioners with a monthly pension of over ₹10,000. Farmers can register through the Common Service Centres (CSCs) or by contacting their local revenue or agriculture department officials.
